We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Leader to spearhead our efforts in driving process excellence and innovation.

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Engineering Leader will be responsible for managing significant engineering projects, ensuring quality of process and product, and owning the First Pass Yield (FPY) and Material Review Board (MRB) processes. Additionally, they will focus on continuous improvement, optimization of floor space, and providing support to Process Development/Advanced Operations on technology development and application within the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex engineering projects through Project Management Office (PMO).
  • E nsure compliance with relevant Operating Systems (OS) and Material specifications.
  • Ownership of FPY and MRB processes.
  • Continuously improve process performance.
  • Optimize current floor space.
  • Support Process Development/Advanced Operations on technology development and application.
  • Implement lean manufacture principles within manufacturing.
  • Support process development and cost reduction activities.
  • Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • Level 8 Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven Project Management skills through delivery of business critical projects.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical leadership ability to direct Engineers, Co-op Students, Technicians, and Operators.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic, and results-driven environment.
  • Demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technological expert, willing to source, investigate, and implement technological and automation advances.
  • Confident and effective decision-maker, with proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
