Audit Senior Job Description

Seeking an experienced Audit Senior to lead audits from planning to completion, supervise junior staff, and build relationships with clients in a dynamic accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the timely execution of Audits, including planning and delivery.
  • Met with management to discuss findings and provide recommendations.
  • Assign roles to audit team members and ensure effective collaboration.
  • IDentify risk matters that impact the business.
  • Review the work of Junior Auditors and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage and resolve discrepancies in data or figures.
  • Understand commercial objectives and align Audit strategies accordingly.
  • Liaise with external advisors as needed.
  • Manage client expectations and provide regular updates.
  • Collate Annual Financial Statements and ensure accuracy.
  • Train junior auditors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients and bring files to partner review stage.
Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA Qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in auditing.
  • Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques and standards.
  • Experience across the entire audit process, from planning to reporting.
  • Application of IFRS and local GAAP principles.
  • Track record of leading, planning, executing, and reporting on audits.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative approach to management.
  • Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
  • Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk control strategies.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
