
Financial Analyst Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Belfast.
The ideal candidate will be 1-2 years post qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage the audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.), ensuring compliance.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with budget holders.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
- Develop, improve, and document financial processes and internal controls.
- Support or lead projects such as systems implementations, acquisitions, or process automation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA )
- Newly qualified accountant trained in a top-tier accounting firm or experience in a similar role in industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to challenge and support operational teams.
