Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Belfast.

The ideal candidate will be 1-2 years post qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage the audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.), ensuring compliance.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with budget holders.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
  • Develop, improve, and document financial processes and internal controls.
  • Support or lead projects such as systems implementations, acquisitions, or process automation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA )
  • Newly qualified accountant trained in a top-tier accounting firm or experience in a similar role in industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to challenge and support operational teams.
