About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Family Resource Specialist. In this role, you will develop and implement programs that respond to the needs of children and families referred to our service.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assess the needs of children and families engaging with our project
Plan, implement, and review programs for children/young people/carers/families based on an assessment of their individual and group needs
Be vigilant for signs of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, neglect, and any concerns regarding the welfare of children
Record concerns promptly and accurately
Consult with the Designated Person and take appropriate action in accordance with our Child Protection policy
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience of working with vulnerable children and families
Experience of working in partnership with families and carers
Experience of planning, implementing, and reviewing programs with children and/or families
Qualifications and Registration
You must hold a recognized third-level practice qualification (minimum Level 7 on the NFQ) in one of the following:
Early Childhood Care and Education/Social Care/Education/Youth Work or related discipline (Nursing/Psychology/Early Years' Education)
You must also be registered or eligible for registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker. This includes those currently in the process of registration under CORU's transitional arrangements (grandparenting route).

The post is initially assigned to work in Youghal but may be required in the future to work in other locations in the Cork area in line with organizational needs.
This is a part-time (30 hours) and fixed-term contract until January 2026.
