Job Opportunity

As a skilled Vehicle Technician, you will be working at our site based on the Castlereagh Road in Belfast.

  • Carry out thorough and efficient inspection, service, and repair of all vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Unit Co-ordinator/Front Line Manager and Logistics team to ensure vehicle availability in accordance with delivery schedules.
  • Assist the Maintenance Unit Co-ordinator/Front Line Manager to liaise with the Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability.
  • Ensure repairs are carried out to meet or exceed the minimum standards as laid down by VOSA.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • City and Guilds HGV or LGV Qualification or NVQ Level 3 HGV or LGV Qualification.
  • Category C licence essential (C+E desirable).
  • Able to work rotational shifts (early morning & late evening shifts) with rotational Sunday working included.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.

Previous experience gained in a HGV fleet maintenance operation is highly desirable.
