Leading a Data Engineering Function

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to develop and lead our data engineering function. As Head of Data Engineering, you will be responsible for driving improvements in data governance and management across the organisation.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities. A bachelor's degree or master's degree in Computer Science or related field is required, along with experience in data engineering with leadership experience.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a data engineering team providing data engineering support across the organisation
  • Establish and lead clear, organisation-wide data governance policies and structures
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement a data strategy
  • Design and implement suitable data warehousing solutions
  • Build efficient data pipelines and ensure high quality data is available for analytics teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data engineering strategies that meet business needs
  • Lead a cross-functional team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and warehouses
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions
  • Ensure data quality, security, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle
