TN Ireland is seeking a skilled Care and Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will work with vulnerable young people, providing care and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
The services provide long-term accommodation to young people, aged 15-17. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement care and placement plans, using evidence-based interventions to promote the well-being of our clients.
Main Objectives
- To work as part of Focus Ireland's residential children's service, providing care, protection, and support to vulnerable or dependent young people, individually or in groups, in conjunction with the wider multidisciplinary team and other relevant agencies.
- To provide interventions necessary to address the young person's issues and the issues preventing them from living at home, offering a therapeutic care placement to those who present with emotional or behavioural difficulties and cannot live with their own families.
Key Requirements
- A Third Level Degree in Social Care.
- Proven direct work experience in relief/part-time work in a social care setting.
- Experience supporting marginalised clients/groups, preferably adolescents.
