We are seeking an experienced leader to head up our structures team. As a Structural Design Lead, you will be responsible for the technical and commercial oversight of our growing structures division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure operational and commercial performance of the team and report on same to senior management.
  • Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, mentoring and professional development.
  • Oversee design deliverables to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage interaction between project team members, clients, stakeholders and external subconsultants.
  • Manage team resources, delegate activities and monitor project budgets.
  • Collaborate with Project Leads in other sectors or disciplines within the company.
  • Recruit for a growing team.
  • Develop client relationships and business development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Relevant third-level degree in engineering (Level 8 or higher).
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in structural engineering, with a technical background.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lead, manage and coach a growing team.
  • Professional knowledge and skills.
