About the Research Impact Manager Role

Research Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Research Impact Manager to join their team. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a significant impact on driving world-class research and innovation in Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and influencing ambitious, innovative, and potentially high-impact research programmes. As an impact specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of Research Ireland's mission, particularly in the area of challenge-based funding initiatives.

About the Job Description

  • This position involves identifying opportunities to support research teams in translating their work into impactful applications through policy, commercialization, and social innovation.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to facilitate Challenge Teams in enhancing the impact of their research.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of impact initiatives and implementing plans for continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to broader organisational goals by collaborating with other teams to advance research impact and commercialisation.

About the Essential Criteria

  • A third-level qualification (PhD, MBA, Masters) in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in translational research, research commercialisation, entrepreneurship, or a related impact area.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing impact strategies within a relevant sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at a strategic level while driving daily execution.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpretive skills with an ability to think strategically and use sound judgement on complex issues.

About the Benefits

  • Salary: €81,475 - €100,064 per annum plus contributory superannuation pension.
  • 30 days annual leave per annum, plus 10 additional public holidays.

About Others
