Director of Data Engineering

The Director of Data Engineering will spearhead a skilled team of data engineers in developing and executing our enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our data platform.
  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data engineers.
  • Data Infrastructure: Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to power analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data initiatives align with broader business goals.
  • Ensure our data ecosystem adheres to industry-standard controls for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Drive automation in data processing and infrastructure management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in data engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale data initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in managing large-scale data architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms, data technologies, programming languages, and containerization and orchestration.
