
Garden Management Position

This role entails hands-on involvement as a member of the garden team, responsible for all aspects of gardening at a historical estate.
You will be accountable for daily maintenance and upholding high standards of horticulture.
You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing the visitor experience within the gardens and broader estate.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivering on our comprehensive garden management plan.
- Ledging and supporting the leading volunteer team.
- Engaging positively with visitors and ensuring a superior experience.
- Maintaining and improving presentation standards for the gardens.
- Implementing our garden management plans while working collaboratively to develop interpretation for the gardens and parkland.
We're Looking For:
- A passionate horticulturist with hands-on experience in gardening.
- A knowledgeable individual with expertise in plants and attention to detail.
- Experience with machinery, including tractors, chainsaws, rotary mowers, and cylinder mowers, along with some knowledge of maintenance.
- A driver with a full license capable of managing a demanding outdoor role.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Confidence in working both independently and as part of a team, with volunteers or alone.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time efficiently.
