We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced occupational therapist to support the provision of a high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy service to adults with intellectual disabilities.
The successful candidate will have a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised third-level institution, be registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU, and have at least three years of satisfactory post-qualification experience, preferably in the disability sector.
This role plays a key part in Cheeverstown's falls management programme and environmental assessment of current and future properties. The senior occupational therapist also supports and trains staff within the multidisciplinary team and wider organisation.
We require flexibility in duties and/or working hours to maintain the highest possible standards of care. Part-time, 21 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Specified purpose contract required.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide a high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy service to adults with intellectual disabilities
- To work alongside other health and social care professionals within a multidisciplinary team environment
- To support and train staff within the multidisciplinary team and wider organisation
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised third-level institution
- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU
- At least three years of satisfactory post-qualification experience, preferably in the disability sector
