Senior Project Cost Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling costs on behalf of the contracting entity, ensuring effective spend management and compliant payments. This involves monitoring project costs, providing cost advice to stakeholders, and ensuring that the contract is administered in accordance with established principles and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings, and specifications, as well as experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects. They will also possess excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Cost Control: Manage and control costs on behalf of the contracting entity, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide cost advice and support to stakeholders, including the claims, contract management, and project management teams.
- Project Monitoring: Monitor and report on project costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- 7+ years' experience in a comparable consultancy environment or with a client/contractor organization.
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles, methods, techniques, and tools, including the standard method of measurement.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (all packages) and knowledge of project financial and cost management systems.
