Senior Signalling Design Expert Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in railway signalling, focusing on interlocking data preparation and implementation. Experience with various interlocking systems, including relay, SSI, and modern CBI for electronic or digital interlocking, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation, management, and coordination of design tasks, ensuring adherence to established principles.
  • Support with Design Reviews, HAZIDs, and HAZOPs to ensure risk mitigation and alignment with safety standards.
  • Evaluate data completeness and accuracy for the creation of working drawings, design calculations, specifications, and safe systems for signals, points, and train detection.
  • Collaborate closely with design and testing teams to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • IRSE licensed Signalling Designer or Signalling Principles Designer.
