About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team as a Senior Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy service to adults with intellectual disabilities.

The role involves working with neurological, musculoskeletal, sensory, and orthopaedic conditions, as well as 24-hour postural management and seating clinics. You will also assist with technology clinics for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the provision of a high-quality occupational therapy service
  • Work with adults with intellectual disabilities who use supported living and respite services
  • Develop and implement individualised plans to promote independence and quality of life
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised third-level institution
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with CORU and maintenance of CORU registration
  • At least 3 years satisfactory post-qualification experience, preferably in the disability sector
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current thinking and practice in services for people with intellectual disabilities
  • High motivation, flexibility, and commitment to working as part of a team
  • A full driver's license and own vehicle
