Environmental and Sustainability Director

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our construction environmental and sustainability initiatives. This is a key role that will drive the development and implementation of programs across our construction projects, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and promoting decarbonization, low energy, renewable techniques, and sustainable alternative fuels.
This position requires a strong track record in environmental leadership, with expertise in sustainable design practices, international experience, and knowledge of statutory requirements. The successful candidate will champion the adoption of best-in-class environmental and sustainability strategies, collaborating closely with colleagues to enhance service delivery and align Construction ES Programs with Group initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a professional qualification in Architecture/Engineering/Environmental/Sustainability/Construction or related subject, with LEED AP BD&C / ID+C and/or BREEAM AP qualifications. A minimum of 8 years' experience in sustainability/energy consulting or related positions is required, alongside excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Construction Environmental and Sustainability programs across construction projects.
- Champion decarbonization, low energy, renewable techniques, and sustainable alternative fuels for construction projects.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability legislative requirements.
- Implement Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and low-carbon building materials across construction projects.
- Drive the adoption of LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and other assessment schemes within the organization.
