Job Overview

The VAT Assistant Manager is a key position within our Tax Division. This role is part of the management team, responsible for providing innovative tax planning solutions and working closely with partners to achieve departmental goals and targets.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality services to clients within agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Contribute to firm / department / practice development and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage fee billing and cash collection for own portfolio of clients.
  • Assist the management team in maintaining and developing relationships with a portfolio of clients, including coordination of service offerings from other departments.
  • Participate in peer-wide training and team training.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives at firm, department, and team levels.
  • Lead staff development and review procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • ITI Qualified or equivalent.
  • Qualified VAT practitioner with experience in a practice environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide guidance to others.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Enthusiastic and confident with the ability to work with varying types of people.
  • Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Must be a team player, yet highly self-driven.
  • Excellent computer-literacy skills.
