Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a challenging role in quantity surveying.

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: East Cork

Salary : €75-90k DOE plus bonus,pension and car allowance

We are looking for a skilled quantity surveyor to help us manage our projects in the Cork region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage subcontract procurements and accounts
  • Forecast costs and values in monthly reports
  • Implement budgetary controls and cash flow forecasting
  • P prepare and value progress and final payments
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities
  • Assist with the effective delivery of all commercial requirements of the projects
  • Provide accurate and informed reporting of the commercial performance of the project
  • Generate and substantiate variations for all projects
  • Assist in production/coordination of weekly construction reports

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant third level qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • 5 plus years experience in construction quantity surveying
  • Excellent communication and computer skills

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to work closely with colleagues and clients.

A strong background in quantity surveying, including knowledge of contracts, pricing and estimating, and legal principles would be beneficial. The ability to prepare and present technical reports, as well as communicate complex ideas clearly, would also be an asset.
