Job Title:

Senior Manager - Social Care Services


Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our social care services team in Galway. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to children, adults, and older persons with disabilities.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will possess a third-level degree in Health & Social Care or a relevant qualification.
  • They will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in management or supervisory roles in the health or social care sector.
  • A management qualification or be working towards one is essential.
  • The role requires strong leadership skills, operational management competencies, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in designing and implementing programs is desirable.
  • A full, clean driving license for at least two years is required.
  • Mental health training/experience is an advantage.
  • The candidate must be able to ensure services are run in accordance with HIQA regulations.

Responsibilities:

The Person In Charge will be responsible for:

  • Promoting the well-being and quality of life of service users.
  • Leading the social care services team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HIQA regulations.
  • Coordinating staff training and development programs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating service delivery.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A third-level degree in Health & Social Care or a relevant qualification.
  • At least 3 years' experience in management or supervisory roles in the health or social care sector.
  • A management qualification or be working towards one.
  • Strong leadership skills, operational management competencies, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
