Job Title: Event Management Professional

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of conferences, meetings and events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team to maximise productivity and satisfaction
  • Ensure employees within the department achieve optimum revenue and service
  • Monitor departments overall service and interaction with other departments
  • Knowledge of technical equipment such as AV Systems
  • Verify accuracy of charges for meetings, conferences and dinners prior to guest departure
  • Closely work with sales and other food and beverage outlets to ensure compliance with specifications for weddings, conferences and events
  • Supervise set-up staff and inspect function rooms prior to events to ensure setup meets customer specifications
  • Inspect room comfort, lighting, security, equipment and temperature
  • Meet required needs of banquet orders by assuring proper inventory of all banquet equipment and supplies
  • Achieve profit goals by negotiating conference and banqueting rates in line with hotel objectives
  • Foster a culture of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct among employees
  • Implement strategies to improve guest service, food production techniques and efficiency
Requirements:
  • Applicants require 3 years experience in a similar position in a busy 4-star hotel
  • Need experience catering for events to 300+ guests on a regular basis
  • Candidates must write and speak fluent English, possess IT skills
  • Candidates require current legal status to live and work in Ireland
  • Experience working early and late duty manager shifts
  • Professional style, outgoing personality, friendly demeanour
