Short-Term Counselling Role

As a skilled professional, you will provide high-quality short-term counselling services to clients, managing online referrals and collaborating with our Case Management team.

About the Position

This role involves providing emotional and practical support to organisations and their employees. You will work within a structured counselling framework in an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) context, offering timely feedback and case notes.

  • Manage online referrals promptly and efficiently
  • Provide short-term counselling (3-8 sessions) to clients, focusing on positive outcomes and client satisfaction
  • Offer timely written/verbal feedback and case notes, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism
  • Report risk events to the Case Management Team, promoting a safe and supportive environment

Key Qualifications:

  • BACP/UKCP/COSCA/BPS, NCS, BABCP accredited practitioner or equivalent
  • Or diploma level qualification, registered member of a professional counselling body, 3 years post-qualification experience, and 450+ counselling hours
  • Professional indemnity insurance of at least £1,000,000, demonstrating commitment to client care and protection
  • Registered with relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Access to suitable consulting rooms with appropriate privacy and waiting areas, enhancing the client experience
  • IT literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, email, and online systems, facilitating effective communication and data management
