Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of goods intake, timely order pulling and dispatch, delivery to customers, merchandising of warehouse, stock control and ad hoc duties.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, with experience in managing a team and monitoring their performance to achieve productivity levels. They will also be responsible for providing support and training to other team members, utilising, maintaining and monitoring stock control systems, creating and analysing reports, assessing storage capacity levels, optimising space and implementing controls and processes for replenishment.

In addition, the successful candidate will develop and maintain standards, processes and procedures to maximise operation efficiencies, and ensure they are understood, followed and carried out correctly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership/responsibility for all warehousing and logistics operations for their department
  • Oversight of all aspects of warehouse operations, including goods intake, order pulling and dispatch, delivery to customers, merchandising of warehouse, stock control and ad hoc duties
  • Manage a team and monitor their performance to achieve productivity levels
  • Provide support and training to other team members
  • Utilise, maintain and monitor stock control systems
  • Create and analyse reports
  • Assess storage capacity levels and optimise space
  • Implement controls and processes for replenishment
  • Develop and maintain standards, processes and procedures to maximise operation efficiencies

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in managing a team and monitoring their performance

  • Knowledge of stock control systems and ability to utilise, maintain and monitor them
  • Ability to create and analyse reports
  • Understanding of storage capacity levels and ability to optimise space
