Infrastructure Design Leader

About the Role

This is a key position in our multidisciplinary consultancy, where you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise and broaden your professional experience. You'll be part of an established and dynamic team with exposure to diverse projects, including national road schemes, greenways, and active travel initiatives.

This role is crucial for career progression towards a Director-level position.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects with strong client relationships and oversee communications across assigned projects.
  • Mentor and manage junior Project Managers in the Highways and Active Travel Sector.
  • Supervise and guide team members in the Highways and Active Travel Sector.
  • Plan and oversee design work with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians.
  • Prepare technical reports and tender documentation.
  • Coordinate effectively with project members and the wider infrastructure team.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures and management systems.
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, Chartered Engineer status.
  • 15 years post-graduate experience in highways, greenway, and active travel schemes delivery in Ireland.
  • Design and build project experience desirable.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Strong experience in client liaison and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project budgets.
  • Energetic self-motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Will travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
