Digital Preservation Specialist
Job Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for leading digital preservation efforts, focusing on project management, reporting, and developing a specialist vocabulary.
- This role entails hands-on digital asset preparation and ingestion, coordinating with external stakeholders, providing training, and organizing events.
- The Digital Preservation Specialist will lead project management duties such as planning, reporting, metrics collection, event organization, communication, and dissemination.
- To deliver a successful and timely project with guidance from the project steering group.
- Develop a taxonomy for reproductive health datasets in collaboration with project staff.
- Coordinate with external organizations who hold relevant collections, provide training and assistance with archival workflows and collection management tasks.
- Organize public collection days, community engagement events, and educational/dissemination events.
- Project management skills with experience in leading projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
