Site Engineer Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on residential projects in the Cork City Area.

The Job Role:
  • Setting out and checking works as required for the project, ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
  • Performing checks on the quality of works completed to ensure works are done to a high standard.
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning of daily tasks for the project.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met and adhered to on site.
  • Supporting the Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Key Requirements:
  • A degree in engineering or related discipline is required.
  • Experience with main contracting on reinforced concrete frame projects, including taking the frame out of the ground.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments and be competent in all aspects of set out, survey and level, temporary works coordination.
  • Minimum one year's experience in an engineering role with a main building contractor in the Republic of Ireland.
