
Injury Claims Resolution Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to join our team in direct settlement of injury claims. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing portfolios of Motor Liability, Employer Liability, Public Liability injury/damage and Personal Accident claims.
Responsibilities include providing first telephone contact for customers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner to ensure a positive customer experience. This involves capturing all necessary information at the notification stage in a comprehensive and accurate manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deciding on policy indemnity, investigation, legal liability, quantum, reserving and settlement strategy. They will target claims for settlement direct with the claimant or their legal representatives.
The role also involves managing claims within the Injuries Board process or through Litigation, ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and internal processes and procedures.
As a Claims Handler, you will demonstrate FBD values and behaviours in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first telephone contact for customers
- Manage portfolios of claims
- Decide on policy indemnity and settlement strategy
- Target claims for settlement
- Manage claims within the Injuries Board process or through Litigation
Requirements:
- Experience in claims handling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
