Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled mechanical engineer to join our innovative manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of a new maintenance strategy within a highly regulated GMP setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring alignment with vendor service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure spare parts availability to support continuous, reliable site operations.
  • Assist in the registration of equipment and instrumentation within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support First Article Testing (FATs), project walkdowns, commissioning processes, and documentation handovers.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for facility operations.
  • Assist in the validation and qualification of equipment, with a particular focus on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Monitor engineering metrics, reporting results and driving action plans for performance improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through digital tools and Manufacturing Production System methodologies, including Tier meetings, 8-step problem-solving, and standardisation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to listen actively and integrate diverse technical perspectives.
  • Confident decision-maker, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is highly desirable.
