Electrical Specialist

The Electrical Specialist will be responsible for performing complex technical work in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and replacement of associated components on electrical pumps
  • Diagnose general electrical panels, breakers, or other components
  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Maintenance and repair of all electrical aspects of air handling units

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of current safety standards for emergency lighting and fire detection systems. They should also have experience working with variable speed drives (VSDs) and a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and safety precautions.

  • Able to make repairs to complicated electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
  • Problem-solving skills ability to identify, address, and resolve problems in a timely manner

The Electrical Specialist will be required to report any defects on all plant equipment or any associated electrical equipment to the Engineering Supervisor. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the pool plant rooms are clean and tidy.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in commercial and industrial electrical works
  • Full driving license
  • Thorough knowledge of standard practices, tools, and terminology of the electrical trade
