Job Opportunity in General Practice

We are seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join our team in Cork. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full cycle client management across accounts, tax and audit.
  • Run reports and prepare analyses to support management decisions.
  • Complete and file VAT and tax returns.
  • Assist in the preparation for and completion of company audits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide advice to clients on tax planning and efficiencies.
  • Assist with the preparation of customer statements to ensure that customer accounts are kept up to date.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process, preparing reconciliation and financial analysis files for review by management.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and compiling reports of monthly financial results.

Requirements:

  • Working towards completion of ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with good numerical, logical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with various IT systems and proficiency in Excel.
