Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Cork City. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a group of QA Engineers remotely with the goal of eventually building this team on-site.

This role is pivotal in our product development process and involves automating tests before product launches to ensure seamless software operation and meet client requirements in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement QA processes, tools, and supporting technologies to enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to design verification processes for business logic and code validation.
  • Implement smoke and regression tests to support a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) approach for delivering high-quality software.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail consistently.
  • Utilize Selenium, SpreadJS, Angular or similar tools to automate testing.
  • Promote quality standards through continuous improvement and seek opportunities for enhancement.
  • Maintain individual work to ensure quality benchmarks are met.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test automation tools, involving the development of automated test cases using at least one programming language or automation tool.
  • Selenium WebDriver with Behave BDD and Python experience desirable, or Playwright.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for automation.
  • Proven track record of crafting clear, concise, and detail-oriented test plans and cases.
  • Specialized QA Automation experience, with a focus on API testing.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and projects.
