We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Cost Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering commissions secured by the practice with a view to developing to manage entire commissions and clients in the short/medium term.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of commissions secured by the practice.
- Develop and enhance service delivery methodology and supporting systems and tools.
- Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking.
- Estimate and produce cost estimates and cost plans.
- Compile and amend tender lists.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities and measurement of construction.
- Check and analyze tenders.
- Draft tender reports.
- Deal with variations and change control processes.
- Negotiate financially significant or complex matters.
- Conduct interim valuations.
- Draft monthly reports.
- Analyze numbers for final accounts.
- Write reports for clients.
- Manage internal quality controls.
- Allocate and utilize resources efficiently and maintain a cooperative, motivated and successful QS team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Mid-Senior level experience.
- Full-time employment.
- Strong finance and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
