  • The successful candidate will assist the Pastry Chef in daily kitchen operations and be responsible for creating a wide range of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing desserts, pastries, and baked goods, developing new recipes, ensuring consistency and quality, maintaining cleanliness and organisation, training junior pastry staff, collaborating with other kitchen teams, managing inventory and ordering supplies, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, and participating in menu planning and costing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced pastry kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills and creativity in preparing desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and kitchen teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with menu planning and costing principles.
