Senior Hardware Test and Validation Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our engineering division in the role of Senior Hardware Test and Validation Engineer.

This key position involves taking ownership of test planning, execution, and documentation for new and existing hardware platforms.

You will collaborate closely with design, firmware, and compliance teams to ensure products meet quality, performance, and safety standards across various wireless and low-power safety devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans for hardware validation across multiple product lines.
  • Perform hands-on testing, fault-finding, and root cause analysis on electronic assemblies.
  • Define test methodologies, fixtures, and custom test setups for prototype and pre-production units.
  • Work closely with design and embedded teams to improve hardware testability and product robustness.
  • Support regulatory compliance testing (EMC, environmental, functional safety).
  • Drive continuous improvement in validation processes and documentation standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians in the test team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in hardware test/validation or electronics development.
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of analogue/digital circuit design and debugging.
  • Experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power supplies).
  • Knowledge of test development for microcontroller-based systems.
  • Comfortable working with schematics, layouts, and hardware design documentation.
  • Background in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace, safety-critical).
