High Potency Development Specialist

This position requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in the safe handling and development of high potency active pharmaceutical ingredient (HPAPI) products. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading projects in the high containment laboratory, including route scouting and development, proof-of-concept studies, crystallisation optimisation, and process safety assessments.

  • Lead development projects in the high containment laboratory, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and implement new technologies to support development needs.
  • Collaborate with operations engineers to ensure that process development operations demonstrated in the laboratory can be implemented successfully in the manufacturing plant.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that project milestones are delivered as per the project plan.

Key Requirements:

  • Technical know-how on handling complex APIs or hi-potency APIs (HPAPIs).
  • Knowledge of hi-potent (HPAPI) handling systems, including process isolation, containment equipment, facility design, personnel training, and PPE.
  • 5+ years of experience in a GMP kilo lab in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • PhD in organic chemistry or chemical engineering with 5 years of practical lab experience.
