Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Maynooth Lodge Nursing Home. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive excellent food and dining services.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

  2. Participate in staff meetings as required to discuss menu planning, resident feedback, and any other relevant matters.

  3. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, including washing up after meals and storing equipment and crockery appropriately.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents, possessing strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  2. Competent English language ability, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication.

  3. Proof of clearance to work through the Garda Vetting Unit.

  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
