Enable Ireland is a leading organisation in the field of disability support. We are seeking a motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team in Kerry.
The successful candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to Therapists in the Children's Disability Network Team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to users.
- Manage your caseload effectively, prioritising tasks based on post needs.
- Collaborate with children, families, carers, and other staff to develop treatment plans and provide guidance and advice.
- Assist Therapists in providing education and advice on enabling equipment, as well as maintaining therapy programmes according to specifications agreed with the supervising Therapist.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Possess a relevant healthcare qualification at Level 5 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), maintained by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
- OR Possess a Certificate in Health Service Skills or equivalent, with an undertaking to complete Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant/Speech and Language Therapy Assistant training modules 1 and 2 within one year of taking up duty.
- OR Be currently employed in a comparable role for at least one year, with a commitment to acquire the necessary qualifications within one year of taking up duty.
- OR Be a graduate of a relevant level 8 health and social care course, committed to ongoing continuous professional development.
Candidates must demonstrate personal competence and capacity to discharge the duties of the role.
