About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Back Dock Operative in a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to customers and stores, with a focus on product knowledge, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized back dock area, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for all staff members.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure that only high-quality goods are dispatched to customers.
  • Adhere to company procedures for receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining accurate records throughout the process.
  • Protect company stock from damage or loss, taking responsibility for inventory management and control.
  • Support departmental goals and targets, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures in the warehouse, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.
  • Perform other duties as required to fulfill the Back Dock Operative role.

Your Profile:

  • A minimum of Leaving Cert or equivalent education, with Forklift Training preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehousing, construction, or retail environments, with Picker certification advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication and listening abilities, and numerical competence.
  • A high level of self-confidence, maturity, and personal energy, with flexibility and adaptability to change and innovation within the organization.
  • Honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics are essential for this role.
