About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Director of Accounting Advisory Services.

This is a high-profile position that involves working closely with senior personnel and key finance stakeholders in multinational environments.

  • Providing expert accounting advice to clients on financial reporting, auditing, and other matters.
  • Maintaining and developing key client relationships to drive business growth and satisfaction.
  • Assisting in proposal and business development work, preparing budgets, and liaising with international offices and partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements in IFRS, UK & Irish GAAP, and other international jurisdictions.
  • Assistance in maintaining and developing key client relationships.
  • Contribution to project work and internal committees within the Grant Thornton community.
  • Design and implementation of project plans, delegation of tasks, and coaching of junior members.

Requirements:

  • Recognised accounting qualification, preferably from a top 20 practice or multinational international reporting environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years PQE practical experience in auditing or preparing financial statements.
  • Strong people and project management skills, with excellent communication and report writing abilities.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK & Irish GAAP, and familiarity with other GAAPs such as German, French, and/or Spanish.
