We are seeking a skilled GIS Data Analyst to join our Property Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geospatial data handling and processing, proficiency in working with large volumes of data, and a deep understanding of various types of geospatial data.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data, including weather-related data (flood, wind, hail, tornado/hurricane), property location data.
  • Dataset Management: Manage and integrate diverse datasets from varied sources such as census data, weather and property data.
  • Data Processing Workflows: Design and implement data processing workflows to ensure efficient data handling.
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate data processing workflows using tools and scripting languages; Python, Pentaho Data Integration.
  • Geospatial Analysis: Utilize open-source software such as QGIS for geospatial analysis.
  • Cloud Technologies: Work with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs and analytic projects.
  • Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and cleansing processes.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field. Experience in a GIS data analysis role. Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation a plus. Experience with database management systems such as PostgreSQL and PostGIS a big plus (or good knowledge of a similar RDBMS).
