About the Job

We are seeking an experienced GIS Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geospatial data handling and processing, proficiency in working with large volumes of data, and a deep understanding of various types of geospatial data.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, processing, and analyzing geospatial data, including weather-related data (flood, wind, hail, tornado/hurricane), property location data
  • Managing and integrating diverse datasets from varied sources such as census data, weather and property data
  • Designing and implementing data processing workflows to ensure efficient data handling
  • Automating data processing workflows using tools and scripting languages; Python, Pentaho Data Integration
  • Utilizing open-source software such as QGIS for geospatial analysis
  • Working with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure for data storage, processing, and analytics
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and workflows
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data needs and analytic projects
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and cleansing processes
