Job Title: Senior Ecologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects for major infrastructure projects, including all stages of EIA.
- Deliver Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAR), NIS, EcIA, and Appropriate Assessments (AA), with a focus on terrestrial ecology, aquatic ecology, ornithology, and consent management.
- Liaise with statutory consultees and develop environmental mitigation proposals.
- Understand the consent and licensing frameworks for terrestrial and offshore infrastructure in Ireland.
- Write technical reports and manage client relationships.
Requirements:
- Relevant third-level degree (Level 8 or higher).
- Minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience, with most gained in an ecology role within planning or environmental consultancy.
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
- Postgraduate qualification (Masters or Doctorate) and Chartered by a professional body such as CIEEM.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, tender preparation, and consent-related technical assessments.
