Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to carry a clinical caseload appropriate to the post.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for client assessment, development and implementation of individualised treatment plans that are client centred and in line with best practice.
  • They will be responsible for goal setting in partnership with the client, family and other team members as appropriate.
  • The candidate must communicate and work in co-operation with other team members.
  • Effective communication with service users, family, carers etc. is essential.
  • Clinical records must be documented in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies.
  • The Physiotherapist will provide a service in varied locations in line with local policy / guidelines and within appropriate time allocation (e.g. clinic, home visits).
  • Participation in review meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc. as appropriate is required.
  • Maintaining quality standards of work and co-operating with quality assurance programmes is crucial.
  • The successful candidate must seek the advice of relevant personnel when appropriate / as required.
  • A high level of professionalism is expected in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.
  • The Physiotherapist must operate within own scope of Physiotherapy practice as per CORU requirements and in accordance with local guidelines.

About You:

  • A recognised qualification as a Physiotherapist with CORU registration is mandatory.
  • Permission to work in Ireland is required.
  • A professional approach to work is essential.

Post Specific Requirements:

  • The successful candidate may be required to participate in emergency / evening / weekend / bank holiday / on call / rotation schemes / services as required.
  • Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role is necessary.
