AV Installation Specialist


We are seeking a skilled AV Installation Specialist to join our team. As an AV Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the final testing and commissioning of complex audio-visual systems during and post build.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reading and interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Testing point-to-point functionality of systems
  • Reviewing project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
  • Testing integrated systems and performing troubleshooting for AMX/Crestron and DSP systems
  • Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron)
  • Making minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
  • Fine tuning audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Configuring IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
  • Performing client training and final job documentation as needed
  • Acting as a customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
  • Creating, tracking, and completing a project Punchlist

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues
  • Proven business writing skills
  • Proficient with test and calibration equipment
  • Ability to diagnose complex system problems
  • Knowledge of Advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control
  • Understand IP networking
  • Advanced PC proficiency
  • Excellent multitasking capabilities while adapting to changing priorities
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Solid organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets driving standards
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of AV Installation experience
  • Desirably experienced with Enterprise VC solutions both hardware and software
  • AVIXA General CTS is preferred
