The role of a Director Of Digital And Ict is to oversee the strategic direction and operational management of digital and technology infrastructure within an organization. This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with organizational priorities, managing the technology infrastructure estate to ensure optimal resilience and security, and leading the delivery of the Information Technology and Digital Roadmap.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a Digital and Technology strategy for An Garda Síochána, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
- Manage the Garda technology infrastructure estate, ensuring optimal resilience and security.
- Lead the delivery of the Information Technology and Digital Roadmap, continuously re-evaluating to ensure alignment with business value.
The ideal candidate should have a third level qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, significant experience in senior leadership roles managing resources at a high level, and expertise in information technology strategy development, planning of emerging technologies, and leading digitally enabled change programmes.
