Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Children Services team.

  • As a Staff Nurse, you will provide nursing support and therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of individual children and young people.
  • You will also support children in the community for activities such as cinema trips, visiting petting farms, zoos etc.

This is an opportunity for someone interested in working with children who have intellectual disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing support and care to children and young people with intellectual disabilities
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver Person-Centred Planning, Safeguarding, Risk Management, Positive Behaviour Support and Children's Rights.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or relevant qualification
• Strong interest and/or experience in working with children who have intellectual disabilities and their families.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organisational, and initiative skills
• A full driving licence for a manual vehicle is required
