Job Description

This exciting opportunity as a Cashier involves interacting with customers, processing payments, managing transactions, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be the face of our business, providing excellent customer service and ensuring seamless sales and transaction processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving payment by various methods including cash, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits.
  • Computing and recording transactions, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
  • Maintaining the Cash Desk to company standards by performing daily housekeeping duties, dusting, cleaning and presenting merchandise.
  • Cash handling and safe custody of collected cash.
  • Providing outstanding customer service by being friendly, professional, and attentive to customers' needs and expectations.
  • Answering and following up on customer inquiries at the cash desk and via phone.
  • Ensuring adherence to Cashier Policies and Procedures at all times.
  • Familiarizing yourself with current sales, advertising campaigns, and company initiatives.
Requirements
  • Leaving certificate or equivalent qualification required.
  • Experience working face-to-face with the public in a customer service role.
  • Preferably 1-3 years experience in hospitality, tourism service, or retail.
  • Basic level Excel skills necessary.
  • Customer-oriented ability to build loyalty through excellent service.
  • Confident, outgoing, and people-oriented with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong numerical and logical abilities to handle money, count, and deal with numbers competently.
  • Hardworking, conscientious, and self-motivated with high personal and interpersonal energy.
