Job Overview

The role involves addressing threats against Google Ads accounts in the hijacking space and building scalable solutions to prevent abuse and protect users and advertisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed qualitative and quantitative understanding of the Ads account takeover threat landscape.
  • Design and build early warning alerts for novel and changing threats by researching attacker operations.
  • Apply security intelligence to respond to new adversarial campaigns; collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement intelligence into prevention and detection systems.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant technical field (computer science, engineering, math, physics, cyber security) background.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
About the Job

The Trust & Safety team addresses online content concerns, navigates global legal frameworks, and enforces worldwide policy to enhance the YouTube experience and protect free speech across the internet.

In this role, you will work with a team of analysts to assess and address threats against Google Ads accounts, identify and solve problems at scale, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to adapt products and defenses against new threat vectors.

This role may involve reviewing graphic or sensitive content and occasional on-call schedules outside regular hours.
