Job Title: Language Manager

We are seeking a skilled Language Manager to join our team and help us craft high-quality games for our fans.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to own the quality of Simplified Chinese translations, translate in-game text, voice scripts, marketing and PR content, and collaborate with external localization vendors.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience localizing video games, strong writing and editing skills in Simplified Chinese, and fluency in English. Experience with CAT Tools, memoQ is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  1. Own the quality of Simplified Chinese translations
  2. Translate in-game text, voice scripts, marketing and PR content as required
  3. Create and maintain translation memories, glossaries, and style guides
  4. Provide cultural and creative input regarding the localization of products into the target region
  5. Maintain awareness of the games industry in the target market and communicate trends to relevant stakeholders
  6. Develop and build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality, and workflow
  7. Playtests to confirm in-game text context for accurate translation
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience or more localizing video games
  • Strong writing and editing skills in Simplified Chinese
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience localizing time-delimited dialogues
  • Experience with CAT Tools, memoQ is a plus
