Purchasing and Estimating Professional

Description:

We seek a seasoned professional in construction management and estimation to fill this key role. With a strong background in quantity surveying, you will play a crucial part in our company's success.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyse detailed drawings and specifications to identify essential resources and requirements for construction projects.
  • Draft inquiry documents, obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, including final negotiations and orders.
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure project costs remain within acceptable limits.
  • Prepare accurate monthly valuations for subcontractors, culminating in the final account.
  • Liaise with clients to agree rates and variations, providing cost analysis as required.
  • Maintain precise records of works completed according to contract-specific schedules of rates.
  • Provide comprehensive and transparent reports for management and client progress meetings.
Requirements:
  • Honours degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in estimating or quantity surveying roles within a main contracting organisation.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
