Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to fill the role of Training Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in training and development to join our team and make a meaningful contribution.

As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating training across various compliance areas. This will include designing and implementing in-house training programs for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. You will also partner with supervisors and managers to assess training needs, track progress, and maintain training records.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess strong communication and presentation skills. You should be able to design engaging training materials and use training systems effectively. Excellent organisation, time management, and record-keeping skills are also essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a training role within a manufacturing or food production environment. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a Train the Trainer qualification and/or knowledge of BRC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and coordinate training across induction, food safety, manual handling, and other compliance areas.
  • Design and implement in-house training programs for SOPs and work instructions.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to assess training needs, track progress, and maintain training records.
  • Organise external training (First Aid, Forklift, Reach Truck, etc.) and ensure renewals are kept up to date.
  • Prepare for factory audits and ensure training compliance.
  • Represent the company at careers events and job fairs.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a training role within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design engaging training materials and use training systems.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Train the Trainer qualification and/or BRC knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
